The year 2021 has been a special year in the history of Nelson Polar Bear Swim. The in-person did not take place but some brave souls took the plunge with their bubble or alone for the love of the lake and their beloved local radio.
We thank all those who have contributed to perpetuating the tradition! Indeed, we took up the challenge of organizing a wonderful (virtual) community event despite the pandemic. 50 people took the plunge with their household from December 18 2020 to January 5 2021. 100 donors helped us raise $2,750 for Kootenay Co-op Radio and Friends of Kootenay lake.
